Out of 4 Fortress hiking courses, Inwangsan hiking course has the most beautiful rocky nature. From the top of Inwangsan mountain, we can take a view of old Seoul area including the Royal Palace.
After about 2.5 hour’s hiking tour, on the way down, we get to Seochon village. Seochon literally translates to West Village as it is located in the west of the historic center of Seoul, which was called Hanyang during the Joseon Dynasty. The village is home to many small galleries, coffee shops and boutiques which give the area a ‘retro’ vibe. When walking around Seochon village, you feel like going back in time as many of the buildings are still the same as back in 1970.
The last destination is Tongin traditional market. One of the most interesting thing about this market is that you can exchange 5,000 won for a Korean old style coin which is called 'Yeopjeon', and you can buy foods with the coin. Most items cost 1-2 coins and there are a variety of food options that you can enjoy in this market.
