Seoul Fortress Wall Private Hiking Tour

Out of 4 Fortress hiking courses, Bugaksan hiking course has the highest top to look down Seoul’s mountainous terrain. What is the most interesting thing about this hiking course is that 31 North Korean spies infiltrated South Korea through this mountain in 1968.  Since the shoot out ublic access to this area was limited for about 40 years but It was finally reopened to the public in 2007. Bullet marks are still on the trees. Walking outside and inside of fortress is a different experience than other  courses.

After about 2.5 hour’s hiking, we visit Samcheongdon known for local hot spot. Samcheongdong is a trendy and upscale neighborhood of Seoul that lies in a scenic area just east of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House). This youthful neighborhood is named after the clean and beautiful water, mountains, and residents in the area.

‌After walking in front of Blue House, the presidential palace, we head to Ikseondong. Ikseon-Dong (not to be confused with Insadong) is a district slightly east of Insadong. It’s a neighborhood with the cutest little alleys with many Hanoks, trendy boutiques, amazing cafes and great restaurants. Some call Ikseon-Dong the hipster place of Seoul. The cool thing about the neighborhood is that the alleys are really small, so you feel like you’re walking around a complete different part of Seoul. The fact that Ikseon-Dong is a pedestrian area also adds to the special atmosphere.
